Lilit Mkrtchyan leading European Individual Chess Championship for women

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the 5th tour of European Individual Women's Chess Championship the Armenian chess player Lilit Mkrtchyan gained a victory over Russian Tatiana Shadrina, and having scoured 4,5 points took over the tournament leadership. Mkrtchyan is the only Armenian chess player without a single defeat to her credit (1 draw and 4 victories).



Siranush Andreasyan, playing with white pieces was beaten by Ukrainian Svetlana Cherednichenko, Nelly Aghinyan and Lilit Galoyan made draws with Italy's Marina Brunello and Greek Lulia Maka. Anna Hayrapetyan suffered her 3rd defeat inflicted by Russia's Eugenia Chasovnikova. Hungarian Hoang Thanh Trang, Polish Monika Socko and Georgian Salome Melia are leading the tournament along with Lilit Mkrtchyan.





In the 6th tour of European Individual Championship Lilit Mkrtchyan will play against Monika Socko.
