Erebuni qualifies for UEFA footsal cup main roundAugust 23, 2009 - 02:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's footsal champion Erebuni team has obtained the right to participate in UEFA footsal cup main round. Before the recent match, F group's tournament list was topped by Israeli team, with Armenia coming next. Both teams had equal number of points (4). but Armenian champion fell behind Israeli team because of the difference of beaten and missed goals.In the recent match against Iceland's Khveta Armenian team beat 7 goals into the rival team's fence, making goal difference +8. Before the recent match against Austria's Olstars, ASA had advantage of 3 goals. To qualify for the next round, Israeli team was required to have advantage of 5 goals. ASA won the match with a score of 6:3. Such result enabled Armenian team to qualify for UEFA footsal cup main round. All teams selected for preliminary round were divided into 7 groups. Winners will participate in main round due on September 26-October 4, 2009. Thus, Erebuni will be included in the sixth group together with Deva (Romania), Iberia 2003 (Georgia) and Marlen (Holland). The best two commands will further qualify for elite round. Draw ceremony is scheduled for October 13, and the four mini-tournaments are due on November 14-22. Their winners will participate in final stage tournament due in April. One of four participants will be selected as hosting team.
