The ceremony was attended by the President of Armenia, who is president of the Chess Federation of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan . The opening ceremony was also attended by the minister of sport and youth affairs Armen Grigoryan, Yerevan mayor Gagik Beglaryan, president of the Chess Academy of Armenia Smbat Lputyan and GMs Levon Aronyan, Tigran Petrosyan and others. The new building of the Chess Academy of Armenia was blessed by Vicar of Ararat diocese Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan. As the RA sports minister Armen Grigoryan said, the new building will provides an Armenian chess players with new opportunities for development.
