Christine Petrosyan finishes 11th at World Weightlifting Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 20, Armenia’s first timer Christine Petrosyan (weight class 63kg) finished 11th at the World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya, Turkey, where participants qualified for the Olympic Games in London.

18-year-old Petrosyan’s lifted 214kg in the snatch, clean & jerk.

Kazakhstan’s Maiya Maneza won the Championships, lifting 248kg.

European champion Meline Daluzyan (weight class 69kg) will enter the competition on September 22. World Championships silver winner Hripsime Khurshudyan (weight class 75kg), Olympic Games bronze winner, World Championships silver winner and European champion Tigran Martirosyan, as well as Olympic Games bronze winner, World Championships silver winner and European champion Gevorg Davtyan (both in weight class 77kg) will come around on September 23.
