European Chess Club Cup kicks off Oct. 16October 16, 2010 - 14:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 16-24, Plovdiv, Bulgaria, will host the European Chess Club Cup, where Armenia will be represented by Mika men and women clubs. Mika men club includes Levon Aronian, Vladimir Akopian, Gabriel Sargissian, Tigran Petrosyan, Zaven Andriasyan, Arman Pashikyan, Hrant Melkumyan and Ashot Anastasyan will compete with 48 clubs for the champion's title. Mika women club, including Elina Danielian, Lilit Mkrtchyan, Lilit Galoyan and Harika Dronavalli (India) will rival 14 clubs. Besides, 20 representatives of Armenia will take part in World Youth Chess Championships (U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18) to be held in Halkidiki, Greece on October 20-30, 2010, armchess.am reported.
