Martirosyan knocks out Hernandez

PanARMENIAN.Net - In a fierce firefight, undefeated Vanes Martirosyan (29-0, 18 KOs) scored a devastating right hand knockout in the second round over Bladimir Hernandez (18-5, 16 KOs) at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The bout was scheduled to eight rounds. Martirosyan dominated his opponent since the first round when he landed a big right to the chin. In the second and final round, Martirosyan dropped Hernandez down who wasn’t able to beat the count, BoxingCommunity reported.

Next up for Martirosyan is a 12-round WBC Silver light middleweight and WBC light middleweight title eliminator fight against Saul Roman (34-8-0, 29 KOs) on April 23, 2011 at the WinStar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma on Top Rank's fight card.
