David Nalbandian to participate in first tournament after surgery

PanARMENIAN.Net - David Nalbandian's spokesman Bernardo Ballero said the tennis player will make his comeback on the ATP Tour at the Masters 1000 in Rome.

“David is doing very well and his return is scheduled for the tournament in Rome, which will begin on May 8,” Ballero told Argentine news agency Telam.

He added that initially, a return at Madrid would've been possible but that the fever Nalbandian had delayed his recovery, vamosdavid.com reported.

Nalbandian had double surgery to his left leg on March 11 that put him out of action for six to eight weeks. He was suffering from a hernia in his left groin and a torn lower leg muscle. Nalbandian returned to the Argentine capital to begin his on-court training at the Vilas Club on April 13.
