Harutyun Hovakimyan wins Sport for Equal Opportunities chess tournament June 24, 2011 - 16:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 24, Tigran Petrosian House of Chess in Yerevan hosted the 2nd chess tournament, tilted Sports for Equal Opportunities. The rapid chess tournament was organised by the Bridge of Hope and Mission East organisations jointly with Armenian Chess Federation and the House of Chess. As the tournament organizer Zaruhi Batoyan stated in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the tournament aims are creating equal opportunities for physically challenged persons. “We're glad to announce, that for 2 consecutive years, world known grandmaster Levon Aronian is involved in tournament-related activities. On June 25, Levon will hold a multi-board chess play with tournament participants,” Ms. Batoryan noted. Harutyun Hovakimyan won the tournament, followed by Serob Khazaryan and Norayr Shoghikyan.
