MURDERER OF ARMENIAN FAMILY IN STAVROPOLIAN REGION OF RUSSIA SENTENCED TO 9 YEARS' IMPRISONMENTApril 6, 2004 - 23:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Murderer of the family of Abrahamians in the Stavropolian region of Russia was sentenced to 9 years' imprisonment. As reported by the Stavropolian Regional Court, 16-year-old resident Alexander Nesterenko was found guilty of homicide and robbery in accordance with the articles of the RF Criminal Code. As the accused is under 18, he could not be sentenced to more than 10 years' imprisonment. The Abrahamians were shot out of sawn-off guns when burglars attacked their house situated in the village of Verkhnetambukanski in September 2003. Two robbers in masks killed the mother and 20-year-old son, the father died in hospital because of a bullet wounds. Only one of the accused appeared at the court, as his 25-year-old associate is being kept in the Institute of Serb Day awaiting the psychiatric expertise.![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
