  RUSSIA ACTIVATES EFFORTS TO SETTLE KARABAKH CONFLICTSeptember 9, 2004 - 23:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia activates efforts to settle the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolay Ryabov, who is completing his diplomatic mission in that country, stated at a meeting with Chairman of Azeri Milli Mejlis Murtuz Aleskerov, Trend news agency reported. The Ambassador noted that on the initiative of the Russian leader a meeting of Presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia will be held in Astana September 16. Searching for the ways of settlement of the Karabakh conflict is the main goal of the meeting. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive.
