TURKISH AND US DIPLOMATS DISCUSSED KARABAKH PROBLEM IN WASHINGTON

PanARMENIAN.Net - Within the dialogue on strategic issues Turkey and the US agreed on formation of "forum of discussions" on Russia, South Caucasus and Central Asia. Head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry department on Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia Halil Akinchi met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Laura Kennedy. The parties discussed the situation in Georgia, Russia and South Caucasus and also the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and the Armenian-Turkish relations. The discussions aimed at establishment of joint interests as well as cooperation in the field of political and economic reforms. The dialogue is to be continued in Ankara.
