A DAY AT HALE FESTIVAL TO MARK 90TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian Deputy FM Gegham Gharibjanyan met with Chairman of the Union of Composers of Saxonia-Anhalt federal land of Germany Thomas Buchholz and Artistic Director of Yerevan State Chamber Choir Harutyun Topikyan, reported the Armenian MFA Press Service. In the course of the meeting Thomas Buchholz presented Sorrow of Armenia score written by him on the 85th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The work has already been performed by Yerevan State Chamber Choir in 2000 at Hale's annual festival. Being the Artistic Director of Gale's annual festival, Thomas Buchholz expressed satisfaction with recent activation of cooperation with Armenian musicians. He also informed that Yerevan State Chamber Choir will take part in the annual Hale's Festival to be held November 11-19. One of festival days will mark the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, he added. In his turn, Deputy FM of Armenia Gegham Gharibjanyan noted the importance of the Armenian-German cultural relations and expressed readiness to promote their further development and strengthening.
