Armenia and Lithuania Signed Statement on Support in Euro-Atlantic IntegrationOctober 18, 2005 - 19:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today, October 18, FMs of Lithuania and Armenia Antanas Valionis and Vartan Oskanian signed a common statement on regional cooperation and support in Euro-Atlantic integration. The document signed provides for cooperation between countries in sharing Lithuania's experience of Euro-Atlantic integration with Armenia. Besides, the Ministers discussed prospects of bilateral relations and indicated need to strengthen the economic cooperation. Oskanian approved of Valionis' proposal to organize a meeting of the FMs of the Baltic states and the South Caucasus in Brussels. "The meeting will be a good opportunity to discuss the content and working plan of 3+3 (three Baltic and three South Caucasian states). It will also be a prelude to the meeting of the meeting of FMs of the 6 countries to be held in Vilnius in spring 2006," Valionis remarked.
