"Armenian Cultural Monuments - Object of Azerbaijan's Aggression" Round-Table Discussions to Open in Moscow

PanARMENIAN.Net - Round-table discussions titled "Armenian Cultural Monuments - Object of Azerbaijan's Aggression" will be held in the Russian Academy of Sciences February 20, reported Yerkramas, the newspaper of Armenians of Russia. The purpose of the round-table discussions initiated by the Russian-Armenian Commonwealth, the International Academy of Sciences on Problems of National Security and the World Peacekeeping Organization is to attract public attention to the destruction of the Armenian spiritual historical values in Azerbaijan. The discussions will focus on the destruction of the Armenian monuments in Nakhichevan (Azerbaijan) and the anti-Armenian line pursued by official Baku. The participants intend to attract the attention of the international community for prevention of cultural genocide. The ways of people's democracy in conflict settlement, the role of international and Russian NGOs for alleviating tension in the region as well as the possibility of adoption of a joint statement for media will be also discussed.
