UK Supports Continuation of Karabakh TalksMarch 7, 2006 - 13:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "The statements on military settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, voiced recently, are apprehended negatively," Lori Bristow, the British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said on Monday. According to Bristow, peace negotiations are more optimal way of solution of the problem. "The UK supports continuation of negotiations process and regards it as more acceptable version, which will ensure lasting peace in the region and meets interests of all sides," the British diplomat stressed. According to Lori Bristow, he did not have "any illusions in relation to possible military solution of the problem, frozen for many years." "I want to mention that the Azerbaijani and the Armenian Presidents abide by their commitments to peace settlement of the conflict and we support their position," the Ambassador stressed, reports Trend.![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
