"This is the second time that the Socialist faction is using the Parliament for the benefit of Armenians," the statement says. "After May 29, 1998, which was dedicated to the Armenian Genocide law, the Socialist Party could use May 18, 2006 to pass a law that would outlaw the denial of the Armenian Genocide." If passed, the law will make it a crime to deny the Armenian Genocide and the deniers would be automatically convicted.
