Mann: Kocharian and Aliyev Discussed Details of Karabakh Settlement

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Bucharest talks that lasted 2.5 hours proceeded in a favorable atmosphere. The Presidents discussed the details of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair Steven Mann said.

For his part Russian Co-chair Yuri Merzlyakov, presenting Russia's position on the negotiation process remarked that the responsibility for the conflict resolution should not be laid on the two sides only. "They should themselves reach an agreement but with the support of the mediators. In general the parties are themselves responsible for achieving an agreement," Merzlyakov said, reported RFE/RL.
