  OVER 2.5 MILLION ARMENIANS RESIDE IN RUSSIADecember 11, 2002 - 22:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - At present over 2.5 million Armenians reside in Russia. According to the information of the Union of Armenians of Russia, as reported by "De Facto" agency, some 350 thousand immigrant Armenians come from Azerbaijan, 250 thousand - from Georgia (including 100 thousand from Abkhazia), 180 thousand - from the Middle Asian republics (mainly from Turkmenistan and Tajikistan), over 850 thousand - from Armenia. The number of Armenians in Moscow reaches 600 thousand and some one million live in Krasnodar region.
