European Commission: Turkey's Accession to EU May Take 20 Years

PanARMENIAN.Net - The process of Turkey's accession to the EU is dragging out and may take some 20 years, European Commission President José Manuel Barroso said giving to understand that the pessimism over Turkey's capability to fulfill principal conditions is increasing within the European Union, reports ITAR-TASS. Brussels is especially disappointed to see Ankara's incapability to fulfill the obligations for ensuring freedom of speech and establishment of civic control over the military structures.
