Azerbaijan's Accession to EU May Be Discussed in 50 YearsJanuary 12, 2007 - 18:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan's accession to the European Union is not discussed presently, said Alan Waddams, the European Commission's special representative for Azerbaijan. In his opinion, the issue may be put on agenda in some 50 years. Presently the EU consists of 27 member states. Mr Waddams also noted that a pause will be sustained in the EU enlargement process.Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
