EU forces Serbia to make a choice

PanARMENIAN.Net - Jacek Saryusz-Wolski, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, will visit Belgrade Thursday to meet with Serbian leadership and propose two scenarios of regional development: either isolation in a region that will soon be a part of European Union or quick integration.

In case of the second variant, Brussels and Belgrade would sign an agreement on free movement throughout the EU and financial assistance with following accession talks within 2 or 3 years," Mr Saryusz-Wolski told Dziennik newspaper.

This will be the first visit of an EU representative to Serbia after the unilateral proclamation of Kosovo's independence and its recognition by 34 countries.
