Sergei Mironov pleased with development of Russia-Armenia relations

PanARMENIAN.Net - Currently in Moscow on a formal visit, Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan met with Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Sergei Mironov to discuss bilateral relations.



The parties noted the positive dynamics in political, economic and humanitarian cooperation and strengthening of interparliamentary dialog, says the information posted on the Federation Council's website.



Voicing contentment with the development of relations between the two states, Mr. Mironov said the Federation Council pays special attention to cooperation within the CIS IPA.



For his part, President Sargsyan emphasized that commodity turnover between Armenia and Russia increased by 67 per cent against the last year's index and totaled $700 million. "The figure will reach $1.5 billion next year," he said, Novosti Armenia reports.
