Vladimir Posner: I don't understand Turkey's Armenian Genocide denial campaign

PanARMENIAN.Net - Well known Russian journalist Vladimir Posner said he doesn't understand Turkey's persistence in the Armenian Genocide recognition issue.

"I support Armenia's position. Moreover, I understand American Indians who press for Indian genocide recognition," he said.

"It's a proven fact that a crime against humanity was committed in 1915. It can't be equaled to the Holocaust, which is the result of ideology aimed at extermination of all Jews. But it's obvious to me that the 1915 episode was genocide and I don't understand Turkey's reluctance to acknowledge the fact after so many years," the journalist told 1news.az.
