Turkey will stop using Karabakh as a precondition for normalization of ties with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sooner or later NKR conflict will be excluded from Turkey's external policy and won't be used as a precondition for normalization of ties with Armenia, Armenian turkologist Artak Shakaryan told a news conference in Yerevan.

''In recent years Turkey is trying to act as an intermediary in all regional conflicts: NKR, US-Iranian, Georgian- Russian. Yet, Ankara understands that until it supports pro-Azeri position in NKR conflict, it can't act as an intermediary in the settlement of the issue,'' the Armenian turkologist noted.

According to Artak Shakaryan, if Turkey wishes to be a leader in the implementation of collaboration and stability platform in the Caucasus, it will stop using Karabakh as a precondition for normalization of ties with Armenia.
