After the political rally, a requiem service will take place at the monument under the direction of the clerical leaders of the three Armenian Christian denominations. During both the Mass and the political rally, the public may place flowers at the monument, the organizers said. "It is of the utmost importance that California's Armenian community clearly articulates its just demands upon the international community of nations, all the while increasing pressure upon Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide," said the announcement.
