Yerevan to celebrate 60th anniversary of German ConstitutionMay 27, 2009 - 19:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan celebrated 60th anniversary of German Constitution in RA Constitutional Court. Festive events were organized with the assistance of German Embassy in RA, RA Constitutional Count and German Technical Cooperation Society (GTZ).German Ambassador in Armenia Andrea Victorin expressed her gratitude to event organizers. "I'm very glad for collaboration between our countries and thank you for celebrating German Constitution Day together. This year we're celebrating not only 60th anniversary of Constitution but also 20th anniversary of Berlin wall demolition. We're happy that our people could find a way for peaceful settlement of all our difficulties." In his congratulatory statement RA Constitutional Court Chairman Gagik Harutyunyan noted that on May 23, 1949 a legal act was drawn, which had a unique importance for rebirth and development of German society as well as the whole Europe.
