MSU commemorates Monte Melkonyan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Student Association of Moscow State University organized Friday an event dedicated to Monte Melkonyan, the hero of Karabakn war.

A lecture and screening of "Who's Monte" documentary were followed by a debate on the hero's biography and Armenia's urgent problem.

"Monte Melkonyan was a unique personality. Taking hard the problems of oppressed nations, he struggled fiercely for the rights of Armenian people. Love and belief were the very mainspring which actuated everything he thought, or said, or did," MSU ASA chairperson Ashkhen Hovsepyan said.

The ASA is also planning a series of events dedicated to other Armenian heroes.
