Shemi Tzur: Israel treated very well in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - p> "Good relationships have been established between Armenia and Israel, we have no reason for hostility. Armenians and Jews live side by side in the Holy Land for nearly 2000 years. Recently, the Armenian Patriarch and Catholicos Garegin II visited Jerusalem, and returned to Yerevan impressed by the reception. Israel is treated very well in Armenia, " non-resident Ambassador of Israel in Armenia Shemi Tzur said, before leaving home.

However, in his opinion, taking into account the years of conflict between Armenians and Azerbaijanis the diplomatic work in Armenia must be carried out very carefully. "In particular, this concerns the question of the Armenian Genocide recognition. Everything relating to the South Caucasus, is discussed at the highest level in Israel," Mr. Tsur said.

Israel is helping Armenia in number of areas, including the use of water resources, agriculture and medicine, he said. "I think that intensification of economic relations between Israel and Armenia will be a catalyst for political partnership," an Israeli diplomat said, the IzRus portal reported.
