POLISH COMPANY READY TO INVEST IN HYDROELECTRIC PLANTS CONSTRUCTION IN ARMENIANovember 15, 2001 - 22:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "Polenergy" Polish company is ready to invest 100 million dollars in construction of hydroelectric power plants in Armenia. The ways of realizing the projects proposed by the Polish side were subject of discussion at today's meeting of company head Pavel Kurashkevich with the Minister of Energy of Armenia Karen Galustian. Supposedly, building of an entire cascade of electric power stations on the Debed and Araks rivers is under consideration. The electric energy generated is planned to sell to third countries including Turkey. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
