MINNESOTA CONGRESSMAN COLLIN PETERSON JOINED CONGRESSIONAL CAUCUS ON ARMENIAN ISSUESOctober 13, 2001 - 23:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Assembly of America today welcomed Congressman Collin Peterson elected to the House of Representatives from Minnesota, who joined the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues. He became the 106th member of the group promoting the interests of American Armenians. The leadership of the Assembly hoped Peterson would encourage his other Minnesota colleagues to join the Caucus. As it is known, two other Minnesota Congressmen already form part of the Caucus. Earlier Congressman Peterson had supported the bill recognizing the fact of the Armenian genocide and had voted for maintaining Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act.
