NKR Defense Army: Azerbaijan's any attempt to violate NKR's security will be retaliated

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Defense Army of Artsakh issued a statement with respect to Azerbaijan's attempt of a subversive attack in Mardakert direction, saying that it is noteworthy that another serious incident at the conflicting parties' contact line was recorded immediately afterwards a trilateral meeting of the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents. "Meanwhile, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed reading during this meeting to continue talks on the Karabakh conflict settlement," the statement reads.

The statement goes on saying that "noting the facts of this and previous subversive attacks, as well as the practice of ceasefire regime violation by Azerbaijan, the NKR Ministry of Defense states that Azerbaijan is purposefully trying to destabilize the situation at the conflicting armies' contact line to break peace in the region through such actions. The NKR Defense Ministry reiterates and warns Baku that Azerbaijan's any attempt to violate the NKR's security and destabilize the situation at the contact line will be retaliated."

On June 18, an Azerbaijani armed reconnaissance team penetrated into Artsakh territory. To disarm the group consisting of twenty soldiers, a unit of the NKR army undertook measures, as a result of which the Azerbaijani group suffered losses and retreated.
