The document stresses that negotiations for Karabakh conflict settlement, which became intensified within the last 2 years, have not yet exhausted themselves. The statement urges conflicting sides to express a unified position on Madrid principles, by joining declarations adopted by U.S., Russian and French Presidents in L'Aquila, Italy on July 10, 2009 and Canada on July 26, 2010. The document calls on both sides to confirm their adherence to 1949’s Geneva Conventions and 1977’s additional protocols. A number of basic principles for Karabakh conflict settlement were offered, including mutual benefits, mutual dependence, the will of civil society, Novosti Azerbaijan reported.
