Movses Hakobyan: Defense Army increased its fighting capacity in 2010

PanARMENIAN.Net - NKR Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Movses Hakobyan said that in 2010 the NKR Defense Army implemented considerable works aimed at increasing soldiers’ fighting capacity and efficient collaboration among the military units, as well as improving the management system.

Though the number of instances of ceasefire violation increased in 2010 compared to 2009, it has not affected the tasks solved by the army. They were adequately responded, Hakobyan told a press conference in Artsakh.

He added that significant works were carried out on reinforcement of the army by officers with higher military education, as well as on retraining of officers, the press service of the NKR Defense Ministry reported.

“Un unprecedented growth in equipment of the army with great number of defense technology and in creation of new subdivisions and military units was recorded in 2010, as a result of which the army’s military capacity has considerably grown,” Hakobyan said, adding that these works will be continued in 2011.
