Russian MP Ashot Yeghiazaryan to seek political asylum in U.S.

PanARMENIAN.Net - A member of Russian State Duma, Ashot Yeghiazaryan wanted on suspicion of fraud intends to request political asylum in U.S.

At present, Yeghiazaryan resides in U.S.; the MP is, however, concerned about his safety.

Yeghiazaryan noted all charges of fraud pressed against him to be framed-up, Echo of Moscow reported.

Russian Investigation Committee's main investigation department has opened a criminal case against the State Duma deputy suspected of committing a crime of massive fraud (Article 159, Part 4, the Russian criminal Code).
