Azerbaijani expert offers South Caucasus countries to unite in military-political bloc

PanARMENIAN.Net - South Caucasus countries should either unite in a military-political bloc or maintain neutrality, according to an Azerbaijani expert.

“Political elites of the three countries should jointly outline challenges and threats the region could face in the near future,” director of Third View information and analytical portal Rauf Rajabov said in an interview with Armenian journalists.

“It should be a bloc observing the principles of democracy, human rights and freedom,” he said.

Commenting on NATO’s position on the Karabakh conflict, Rajabov noted that the Secretary General and other NATO officials have numerously voiced support to the OSCE Minsk Group efforts to resolve the conflict basing on three principles: territorial integrity, the right of nations to self-determination and peaceful settlement.
