IMPROVEMENT OF ARMENIA'S LEGAL FIELD TO BE CONSIDERED AT NY BUSINESS FORUM

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, April 30. /Mediamax/. Head of the International Financial Corporation (IFC) in Armenia, Gregory Maassen named "unprecedented case" the holding of May 9-11 business forum "Investments in Armenia" in New York.

Speaking today at a press conference in Yerevan, Maassen clarified that such business forums usually bear regional character and are not being dedicated to separate countries. IFC representative in Armenia expressed the hope that the New York business forum will assist the consolidation of the private sector of Armenian economy. Maassen said also that during the business forum the questions concerning the improvement of Armenia's legal field will be a separate topic for discussion.

World Bank representative in Armenia Oweis Saadat noted that depending on the growth of direct foreign investments in the private sector of Armenia, the cutting of the volumes of credits, allocated by international financial institutions, will follow. --0--
