Mehmet Ali Sahin: disputable issues of past should be clarified by historians

PanARMENIAN.Net - Disputable issues of past should be clarified by historians, Turkish parliament speaker said, commenting on Armenian Genocide resolution submitted to U.S. Congress last year.

As Mehmet Ali Sahin stated in New York-based Turkish Cultural Center, Turkey-U.S. cooperation is important from the point of view of bilateral ties, as well as regional and global peace.

“It’s natural that Turkey and U.S., two democratic states, may differ on certain issues. Such a situation is not to be criticized. However, we’re glad to announce that we do agree on key issues,” TRT-Russian quoted Sahin as saying.
