Our friendship is an example of cooperation and mutual enrichment of Christian and Islamic civilizations,” Serzh Sargsyan said in Tehran. Drawing parallels between the Easter and Nowruz, President Sargsyan said, “Painted eggs and sprouted wheat laid at Armenian Easter table symbolize eternity and revival of the nature,” he said. “These are links of a common chain which had been forming between Armenia, Iran and other countries of the region. These links transformed into firm partner relations after Armenia regained independence.” ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
