Israeli Likud party calls for Armenian Genocide recognition

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs should reconsider its stance on the Armenian Genocide issue, according to Knesset member, Likud party chairman Zeev Elkin.

“The Jewish state, which demands worldwide historical justice and observance of ethic norms can’t itself go contrary to these principles,” Elkin stated when addressing a conference on the 96th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

“It’s side to put an end to the policy aimed exclusively to please Turkey. The Jewish state should be among the countries which officially recognized the Armenian Genocide,” he said.
