Ruben Aganbegyan appointed MICEX President

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ruben Aganbegyan, the Chief Executive Officer Renaissance Investment Management, will be the President of Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX), Kommersant daily reported.

The shareholders explained the decision by the MICEX strategy requirements.

Before joining Renaissance, Ruben Aganbegyan was Head of Investment Banking at Troika Dialog, a Russian investment bank. From 1997 to 2002, he was Co-Head of Russian coverage at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), where he participated in the post-crisis restructuring of assets that totaled more than USD2 billion. At CSFB, he also managed relations with key clients including RAO UES, Gazprom and the City of Moscow. Prior to joining CSFB, Mr. Aganbegyan was at the international law firm Clifford Chance. He started his career in 1992 at PriceWaterhouse.
