Alexander Tsvetkov: Bulgaria will be reliable and predictable partner for Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Bulgarian Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Alexander Tsvetkov said that, being a part of the EU, Bulgaria will be a reliable and predictable partner for Armenia. It will contribute to development of bilateral trade and economic relations, Tsvetkov said during the Armenian-Bulgarian business forum on September 9 in Yerevan.

The forum is held as part of the 6th sitting of the Armenian-Bulgarian intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation. The Bulgarian delegation is represented by companies dealing with trade, investments, tourism, transport, communications, information technologies, science and education, as well as culture and urban development.

According to Tsvetkov, only joint efforts of Armenia and Bulgaria can allow them boosting bilateral economic cooperation. He noted that the Bulgarian government is ready to contribute to it, the more so as the country has a good tax regime and favorable investment climate. Tsvetkov added that a zero corporate tax is applied in some regions of Bulgaria. Moreover, the geographic location of Bulgaria will allow Armenia to enter the markets of Eastern Europe.

For his part, Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers) of Armenia Arsen Ghazaryan said that the Armenian and Bulgarian governments’ consistent work proves that bilateral interest is growing and “quite different indices of trade turnover will be recorded in the near future.”
