Armenian winemakers stored 135 thousand tons of grapes in 2010

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenians winemakers have stored 135 thousand tons of grapes this year, chairman of the Union of Winemakers of Armenia said.

“This year was remarkable for a number of reasons,” Avag Harutyunyan told a news conference on November 12.

“We reaped a good harvest and the winemakers had the possibility to buy only high-quality grapes,” he said.

The average purchase price for 1 kg of grapes totaled AMD 124 against AMD 117 in 2009 and AMD 142 in 2008.
