Yerevan to host presentation of practical guide – Export Roadmap

PanARMENIAN.Net - On March 24, Armenian exporters will receive a practical guide – the Export Roadmap. The latter is a joint initiative of the Armenian-European Policy and Legal Advice Centre (AEPLAC) and the European Union Advisory Group (EU AG), prepared in cooperation with the Armenian Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center (SME DNC) and the Ministry of Economy. The Roadmap will be presented during the workshop for Armenian business community and international donor organizations to be held on March 24, 2011, in the Erebuni Hall, Erebuni Plaza business Center.

The guide provides information about the procedures, which Armenian exporters should follow before their products can cross the border. Based upon existing legislation and the business practices, it provides all necessary information and gives step-by-step instructions on how to organize export-related processes.

The Export Roadmap explain the general concept of exporting, lists export procedures and required documents, clarifies the steps that need to be undertaken while exporting goods, and gives an overview of international trade agreements and preferential regimes. Each section can be consulted separately, against an overall systematic picture. Information provided in the guide is backed up with references to online sources, a glossary of used terminology, as well as references to relevant laws and subordinate legislation.

The guide is designed as a user-friendly source of information. It will have an online version, which will be made available as an integral part of the SME DNC website. The online version will be updated on a regular basis by the SME DNC to keep up with the relevant legislative changes and other developments that may affect the exporting practices.

The Export Roadmap was created by AEPLAC and EU AG experts, with the financial support of the European Union, and in consultations with experts from SME DNC, the Ministry of Economy, the State Revenue Committee and International Finance Corporation, the press service of AEPLAC reported.
