Lending to SME to be in limelight of Ameriabank in 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - Development Director of Ameriabank CJSC Tigran Jrbashyan said the bank is going to increase lending to SME in such fields as food industry, energy, etc to ensure diversification of its credit portfolio.

“The volume of the bank lending to SME amounted to AMD 8.5bln. It is not our target index for 2011, as we have got a rather ambitious program concerning SME,” Jrbashyan told a briefing on April 22.

According to him, the bank is going to secure 30-40% growth in the credit portfolio in 2011 due to this very direction.

Jrbashyan added that 71% annual growth was recorded in the bank credit portfolio, bringing it to AMD 104.9bln by the end of March 2011.

The bank is the second in Armenia’s banking system by the volume of its credit portfolio.

Referring to cooperation with international partners, Jrbashyan noted that AMD 40-50mln will be attracted in 2011.
