EDB suggests creating investment fund to finance projects in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) plan to develop cooperation to support private sector projects in Central Asian states.

Igor Finogenov, Chairman of the EDB Executive Board and ADB delegation led by Vice-President Lakshmi Venkatachalam met in Almaty to discuss cooperation prospects.

As the head of ADB delegation noted, projects for economic integration of regional states, nature protection programs are in the focus of the bank’s attention. Ms. Venkatachalam characterized energy, infrastructure projects, and financial sector as perspective cooperation spheres.

Mr. Finogenov, in turn, suggested creation of a joint investment fund to finance projects implemented in Armenia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, EDP press service reported.
