5 Armenian wrestlers to compete at China tournament on April 28

PanARMENIAN.Net - Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestlers in 120kg category will compete at European qualifying tournament in Taiyuan, China on April 28.

Ruslan Basiyev representing Armenia in freestyle wrestling will rival Greek Ioannis Arzoumanidis in 1/16 final.

Robert Kirakosyan (55kg) will clash with Kazakhstan’s Askhat Kudaibergenov and Arthur Mkrtchyan (60kg) will challenge Revaz Lakhshi (Georgia).

Aram Julfalakyan (66kg) will compete with Romania’s Georgian Carpen, while Tigran Sahakyan (84kg) will rival Hungarian Viktor Lőrincz in Greco-Roman 1/16 final.

Wrestlers who rank 1-3 in the tournament will qualify for the Summer Olympic Games.

Mihran Jaburyan (55 kg), David Safaryan (66 kg) and Hajimurat Nurmagomedov (84 kg) have already gained an entry to Summer Olympics.
