Old-timer parliamentary candidate unwilling to face defeatMay 11, 2012 - 14:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Victor Dallakyan, who joined the ruling Republican Party of Armenia ahead of the parliamentary vote and ran by majority system in constituency 30, calls for cancellation of voting results in this area. Losing to independent candidate Edmon Marukyan, Dallakyan addressed the local electoral commission to nullify the voting results. RPA member says Marukyan has not permanently resided in Armenia for the past 5 years, and his victory should therefore be recognized invalid. When asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter to comment on this move, Dallakyan said he leaves comments to journalists. Dallakyan has been member of the National Assembly since 1995 as an independent deputy. Parliamentary elections were held in Armenia on May 6.
