First Republic Day marked in Prague

PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 26, Prague hosted an event dedicated to the May battles and the First Republic Day.

Armenian ambassador to Czech Republic Tigran Seyranyan came up with a welcome speech, RA MFA press service reported.

Dwelling on the battles of 1918 in Sardarapat, Bash Aparan, Karakilisa and the establishment of the First Republic, he hailed the Armenian soldiers’ heroism, their role in liberation of Shushi and formation of Artsakh defense army.

Afterwards, editor-in-chief of Photo Art monthly Garik Avanesyan presented the photos taken in NKR, as well as episodes of Wounds of Karabakh film by Bulgarian journalist Tsvetana Paskaleva.

The event was organized by Armenian Embassy in Czech Republic, through support of “Orer”, “Photo Art” monthly magazines and Saturday school.
