As was announced before, the representatives of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) got 8 seats out of 12, while the remaining 4 committee chairmanships went to Prosperous Armenia. The appointments were as follows: Artak Zakaryan (RPA) appointed the chair of Standing Committee on Foreign Relations; David Harutyunyan (RPA) – the chair of Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs; Koryun Nahapetyan (RPA) – the chair of Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs; Ara Babloyan (RPA) – the chair of Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood; Artak Davtyan (RPA) – the chair of Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport; Hakob Hakobyan (RPA) – the chair of Standing Committee on Social Affairs; Gagik Minasyan (RPA) – the chair of Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs; Vardan Ayvazyan (RPA) – the chair of Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.
