Levon Aronian suffers 1st loss in Tal Memorial round 3

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian lost to England’s Luke McShane in Mikhail Tal Memorial round 3.

After the defeat, Aronian dropped to the 4th place with 1,5 points; Azerbaijan’s Teimour Radjabov is leading with 2,5 points.

In round 4 of Moscow-hosted championship, Aronian will face off against Russia’s Vladimir Kramnik (3rd with 2 points.)

The remaining pairings for round 4 are as follows: Fabiano Caruana-Evgeny Tomashevsky, Luke McShane-Hikaru Nakamura, Alexander Morozevich-Teimour Radjabov.
